The 22nd annual Keyesville Classic saw participation increase by 25 percent. This was Bionicon’s second year hosting the event.¬†The weekend featured trials, XC, short track and downhill competitions in beginner, sport, expert, pro and vintage bike classes.

The all-mountain competition required riders to brave the three main events (sorry trials riders) on the same bicycle with no modifications allowed. In a tight battle between 1st and 2nd, Carl Decker (Giant) edged out former¬†Bike magazine associate editor Dain Zaffke (WTB) by one point to take the pro all-mountain title. In the women’s pro event, Kelli Emmett swept all three events (for those in the all-mountain class), solidifying her spot at the top of the podium.
